While Josh was away from home with their daughter, Kate was waiting for her husband and their daughter, Emily. Then the door got knocked, a delivery man was holding a package.
She thought Josh had ordered something for their third wedding anniversary. Once she opened the package, she found a beautifully decorated pillow. A note was also in the package, “Happy Anniversary! – Taylor”
As she was happy with the gift her father-in-law sent, she then thought that her husband wouldn’t accept this gift. Then Josh came back to home with Emily.
He asked that if Kate ordered something, while Emily was on his shoulders. Then Kate explained the situation. Josh took the note and read it.
Taylor had an affair while Josh was a child, and he left them for the other woman. Josh and his mother were left alone.
He didn’t even want his father in their wedding. He didn’t want him to be around or to be seen with him. He also never showed Emily to his father too. Despite the gift he sent for his granddaughter, Josh refused it.
Kate was sure that Josh would reject this gift too, and he did. He explained that they can’t keep this pillow. He picked the pillow, and with a terrified impression, he throw it outside.
“It’s ticking babe!” he said. “My father is up to something!”
As they went outside, they heard the soft ticking sound. As they were unsure of what to do, Josh decided to open the pillow, and found a box inside. The box had a timer, and it was making the ticking sound.
“Call him.” Josh said, and Kate called Taylor.
“Hi Kate, did you receive the package?”
“What is inside of the pillow?” Josh asked with anger.
“It’s a gift, for your anniversary.” Taylor responded.
“Is there something illegal in the box?” Josh asked.
“Please! It is a simple gesture with no harm.” Taylor responded. “Just open the box.”
As they opened the box with scared faces, they found a check for $100,000 in there. Josh and Kate were shocked. “He must be up to something!” Josh said, as he believed that the money was not clean.
Then they called Taylor again. The man revealed that he was diagnosed with stage four brain cancer, and that he was dying. He wanted them to keep the money. If not for themselves, for his granddaughter, Emily.
Then they arranged a meeting at the park, where Taylor met with Emily. As they played together for a while, they also got a chance to speak.
