Nat and Simon were married for 15 years. They welcomed their daughter Eva, who was 13.
Except her mother-in-law, Donna, their lives were perfect. Donna always criticized Nat, as she constantly stated that Nat wasn’t the daughter-in-law she wanted for her family.
She could always find something to complain about the food Nat would cook. Despite Simon would defend his wife, she would say something all the time.
Whenever Nat would have guests over for dinner, the food she would cook end up being messed up. Normally, her food would be fantastic, but each time she would cook while Donna is in the home end up being terrible.
When it was Simon’s birthday, Nat caught Donna while she was pouring a white powder into her food. Her heart skipped a beat. She finally found out the reason why her food would end up terrible when Donna was in the house.
Then she talked with Eva, and explained the situation. Eva agreed to help her mother.
During the dinner, after Nat ate some of the pasta, she said that the pasta was a little sour, and then collapsed in front of everyone.
Eva screamed, “Call an ambulance!”
“What could have happened? Why did she start choking?” Simon yelled as he was despair.
As Eva tasted the pasta, she told her father that the pasta has citric acid in it. Then she revealed that her mother was allergic to it.
“But the question is, how did citric acid get into the pasta? Mom never adds it!”
Donna slowly walked backwards, as she thought Nat lost her life. “I… I didn’t mean… I just wanted to…”
“You did this? You put citric acid in the pasta? Why would you do that?” Simon asked as his eyes were filled with rage.
Then, Nat appeared to slowly “regained consciousness,” which Simon was thankful to the Lord.
As she asked what happened, Eva started to explain. “Grandma put citric acid in the pasta, Mom. She said she wanted to teach you a lesson.”
Natasha turned to Donna and stated that she tried so hard to be accepted by her, but after what she did Nat wanted some boundaries between them, which Simon agreed. He told his mother that she was no longer welcomed in his home, and that she should leave.
From that day on, Donna never stepped into their home, and her son would visit her once or twice in a month.
