Jane and Joseph were married for 19 years. Their economical status started to bother her after that many years, and her requests led Joseph to do something unimaginable.
After a long day of work, Joseph was at home finally. But he was exhausted. He was eating the dinner Jane prepared for him. They were counting every penny, as they were not in a good financial shape.
One day Jane talked with her husband, as she stated that they shouldn’t be living under these conditions. She was not happy with the life they were living in. Joseph promised that things will be better.
As few weeks passed, Joseph started to make more money. In few months, they were able to live in luxury. But Jane couldn’t understand what was happening. She started to buy the things she loved and always wanted but she was also wondering what her husband was doing to earn that much.
Nonetheless, Joseph kept his promise, and Jane was living in luxury.
One day, she wanted to spoil her husband for his efforts, but that day, Joseph didn’t come back home. There, Jane was waiting at the table she prepared. She wanted to spend a romantic evening with her husband.
She tried to call him but he didn’t respond back. She started to worry. As hours passed, Jane fell asleep on the couch. When she woke up, she found Joseph sleeping as he cuddled her.
She let her husband sleep, and started to doing laundry. Then she found an envelope in her husband’s jacket, and there were thousands of dollars in it along with a letter.
In the letter, “Thank you for the night,” was written. Jane was shocked. She followed her husband that day, and saw a woman was hugging to him intimately. She was frozen.
Then Joseph went into the house. As she couldn’t have it any longer, she went to the house to confront them.
Before she left her car, Joseph left the house with anger while the woman was shouting after him. Jane hid then.
Then she kept following her husband. As he stopped in a parking lot, Jane went to her husband’s car. He then looked at his wife with guilt in his eyes.
Then Joseph revealed that he was sleeping with that woman for money. To keep his wife happy, he went into this mess. As he apologized, Jane started to cry for pushing her husband that much.
As they returned back to their old life, Jane was happy that her husband was providing them the simple needs.
