Mary was 25 when she welcomed her daughter, Tilly, as her husband Jake was 29. It had been three weeks since they became parents, but the world turned into a nightmare for Mary.
She was exhausting with the things she was doing. She didn’t have any emptiness in her life, where she could rest at least half an hour.
Her husband was not a man who would help her and give her the space she needs. Despite Jake promised that he would do half of the work, he was only sitting on the couch, and play games on his console.
As a month passed, the family arranged a gathering for Tilly. Jake was on paternity leave, but he didn’t even change his daughter’s diapers. He was talking about his need for that leave, and how exhausted he was.
Mary was shocked when she heard that but she didn’t even have the energy to confront Jake about the matter.
Then while she was carrying something to inside, the world started to shake, and then it went to black. Mary was wake up in her bed, surrounded by the family members.
They brought her water. Jake was displeased. Mary was sure that her husband thought she ruined the evening.
As the guests were gone, Jake exploded as he stated that she ruined his reputation, and now everyone is thinking that he is not taking care of his family. It was the truth actually.
Mary just stated that she needed some rest. But Jake kept yelling. It was the last drop for Mary. When the morning came, she started to pack as she was going to her parents home. Then the door got knocked.
Her in-laws and a stranger woman were there and they wanted to talk. They introduced the professional nanny they hired to help Mary. They also stated that the woman was going to teach Jake how to help with the baby, since their son was an arrogant little boy.
They scolded him and talked with Mary. Jake understood the mistake he made after the month was over, and he was now there for his family whenever they needed him to be.
