Abbie called for her husband, but he was nowhere to be found. She searched the whole house, but no. Matthew was not in there. She found a note on the bedside table.
“Don’t search for me.”
She tried to reach his phone but he didn’t respond. He then called her mother-in-law Claire, but she had no idea where Matthew went too.
He tried to contact everyone, but no one knew where he went. Matthew never returned back to Abbie.
She couldn’t answer the questions of her children. The officers couldn’t start a search, since they didn’t have any starting point.
Then she talked with her children about the disappearance of her father. She explained that their father was gone away for a while.
One day, Claire called Abbie. She explained that if she wants to learn the truth, she shouldn’t tell Matthew anything. After she promised, Claire told the truth.
Matthew was in her home with his mistress and their baby. Abbie was terrified. Claire kept this as a secret. The mistress was barely 19, and that was why she kept them in her home.
Matthew told his mother that he would divorce her and rent an apartment, and took all the money from their joint account. Abbie gasped. She couldn’t believe what she just heard.
Claire told Abbie to find a good lawyer before Matthew stole all the money. She first went to bank, and withdraw all the money. Then found a lawyer, and started the divorce process.
Through the testify of her mother-in-law, Abbie took the house and the money. Matthew was left with nothing. At the court, she learned that Lisa, the woman Matthew had an affair with, manipulating them both.
As everything was over, Abbie took Lisa in, since she was only a teenager who got manipulated by a psychopath. She became the grandmother of Lisa’s child. They started a business with the money they took from Matthew, and lived in wealth.
