Derek and Elly were married for seven years, and they welcomed two children during their union. Derek would occasionally travel for business, but he was a dedicated family man.
A month ago, the number of business trips of Derek would go increased. Each week, he would go out of the city.
One weekend, Elly decided to clean her husband’s car as he couldn’t lately, and the car was dirty. While she was cleaning the interior, she found receipts of a hotel in their town.
The dates were the same dates her husband would be out of the city for a business trip.
She was trusting her husband but this receipt was suspicious. As she decided to search more, she found more receipts of the same hotel. One evening, Elly decided to follow Derek. He went to the same hotel the receipts were from.
When she followed Derek inside, she found Derek with another woman, who were intimately hugging each other. Her heart skipped a beat. The father of her children, her loving husband was having an affair.
Elly went to confront them, and when Derek saw her, he couldn’t speak. He was petrified. They were both shocked. Elly went directly back home and packed her and her children’s belongings and went to her parent’s house.
After the divorce, Elly took the home and a huge amount of money from Derek, which was enough to pay for her children’s college and wedding. She later started a small business with her growing children, and their family business turned into a big company.
Last time Elly heard of Derek, he was living in an RV, alone and sick.
