The famous and beautiful actress was born on the 12th of September, 1957, in England. She was an iconic name in Hollywood.

When she appeared as Maggie Cleary in “The Thorn Birds,” she had her breakthrough. After her role, she received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television in 1984.

After her success in the show, she later starred in “Sharky’s Machine,” “Against All Odds,” “Rain Shadow.”

As she acted incredibly in big shows, she also appeared as a productor and as a writer. She also worked as a model, since she was incredibly beautiful. She appeared on the cover of Vogue.

She found her soulmate in the show that brought her breakthrough. She met Bryan Brown in the show, “The Thorn Birds.” She then united her life with the Australian actor. The couple married in 1983. Their love story is a rare one in Hollywood.

In their marriage, they welcomed Rosie, Joe and Matilda Brown.

The actress was raised in high class England, while Brown came from backstreets of Australia. “It was definitely opposites attract because we could not have been more opposite,” the actress said about her and her husband’s differences.

“He had very strong values, from his mum, from being Catholic, voting Labor, he was a very moral man and I loved that.”

When the actress started to live in Australia, she struggled to call the land her home. “It’s not easy not to live where you come from,” she said.

When she talked about the show ”The Thorn Birds,” the actress talked about the comments show received. “When I got slaughtered, I really took it to heart,” she said. “I never really got my confidence back after that.”

“As an actress, obviously you need a bit of talent,” she explained. “I think you need enormous guts to have a go at it.”

“I think you need self-confidence, which I didn’t have,” the actress said.
