James had no other option but to support his wife, Seline, when she decided to disown her parents after the birth of their son, Matt. It’s been more than twelve years since the events happened.
One day, Matt talked with his father. “Dad, I need to go to Grandma, I need their help with an assignment and mom won’t let me.”
“Allright son, let’s get to the car.” James said, and took Matt to his grandparent’s house.
“I don’t like when Matt goes over there.” Seline said to her husband once James was back at home.
“They love Matt.” James said and asked, “Why you don’t want our boy to be happy with his grandparents?”
As Seline kept silent, James couldn’t understand what happened between his wife and his in-laws. During the pregnancy of his wife, Seline’s parents were constantly helping them with the house work and food.
“You need to tell me.” James said as he wanted to learn what happened.
“Talk, or we will be done.” James threatened then. That tempered Seline, as she shouted, “Follow me then!”
She walked upstairs and pulled a file from their home office. She threw the file in front of James, and left the room.
Then James learned the truth about why Seline had disowned her parents. Seline’s parents always wanted a son, but they only got Seline. So, they decided on having a grandson, and as powerful they were, they played a game.
That day, James learned that Matt was not their biological child. They were going to have a daughter, and the in-laws had arranged everything and switched a baby boy with James and Seline’s daughter.
As James fell on his knees once he learned, it took half an hour for him to gather his strength and go back to the kitchen, where Seline was waiting.
“How?” he asked. “How they can be that cruel?”
“Our daughter is living in somewhere else.” Seline started to cry.
“How they arranged everything? The doctors, nurses, hospital?” James was still in shock. He couldn’t believe what was happening.
In the next weeks, they done some DNA tests to be sure of everything, and every test turned out to be negative. Matt was not their biological son. As the parents collected the necessary documents, they threatened the hospital and learned everything about their daughter named Amy, who had Seline’s hair and James’ eyes.
Then they moved on with filing a legal case against Seline’s parents. They met with the non-biological parents of Amy, who were unaware of everything. They were told that they are having twins, and during the birth, the male one lost his life.
After few meetings, the parents talked with their children about the truth. Through time, they became a huge family.
