Mark was a homeless man who would live on the streets. People wouldn’t even notice him on the street when they were walking past him.
Then he noticed a yelling. An expensive SUV and an old sedan were parked too close to each other and a wealthy looking man in his 30s, and an old lady were yelling at each other.
The man was arguing that the old lady was a terrible driver and that she shouldn’t even be behind a wheel. People were passing next to them, but none of the protected the old lady, while man was constantly screaming at.
Then Mark rushed towards to help the old lady. He told the rich man to step out and apologize from the old lady. The man laughed at Mark as he wanted to mock him. He then told him to leave his sight.
Mark told him that he will regret if he doesn’t apologize.
The man responded with anger, “How dare you speak to me like this? You’ll be the one begging for forgiveness by the end of this day, you filthy rat.”
As the old lady tried to stop them from fighting, the rich man said that he is done with this and left the scene.
As the old lady was happy that Mark helped him, she asked that if she can do anything for him.
“Nothing, ma’am. I’m alright. I couldn’t take anything from you.”
The old lady thanked him for standing up for her, and then left.
When the next day arrived, Mark was at the same spot once again. The people were still passing next to him as if he was a ghost. As he was sitting on the bench, the rich man from yesterday approached to him.
Mark was ready to fight him once more, but the man knelt before him and begged for forgiveness with tears this time. Mark was shocked. He was frozen as he couldn’t talk.
The man explained that the old lady was the mother of his boss. When his boss learned what happened, mother of his boss, Mrs. Sanders wanted Jim, the rich man, to apologize from Mark.
If he doesn’t fix his wrongs, he will be fired as his boss ordered. As he was begging for forgiveness, Mrs. Sanders approached.
“I asked him to come here today. To make amends.” The old lady said. “Do you think you can forgive him?”
It didn’t take long for Mark to forgave him. He didn’t want to cause anyone’s job. David thanked as he was still kneeling in front of Mark.
Then Mrs. Sanders turned to Mark. She told him that she is in need of an assistance with great values like Mark has.
In two months, with the help of Mrs. Sanders, Mark had gained his life back. He was now working under Mrs. Sanders, where his office was next to David’s.
