At the perfect wedding of John and Madeline, John’s uncle Jack was directly looking at Madeline. John was nervous for that. He had felt that something was not right.
Then Madeline appeared, where she was walking down the aisle. They were together for five years, and they were close to tie the knot. As she walked down, Uncle Jack’s eyes widely opened.
Then Madeline came next to John, where they held each other’s hands. They smiled each other, but John couldn’t take himself to look at uncle Jack. He was still looking at Madeline.
They exchanged their vows and kisses. People cheered for them. As the ceremony was over, the party started. People were dancing and dining.
As they were laughing and having fun, Uncle Jack rushed towards Madeline. No one understood what was happening, he kneeled down and lifted Madeline’s wedding gown.
It was pure chaos. People screamed and gasped.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING?” The bride yelled. Then people dropped Uncle Jack down.
“IT WAS YOU!” Jack yelled as he was pointing Madeline’s leg.
Madeline had a scar on her calf, where she explained that it was a scar from her childhood. But she never gave much detail about it.
“For twenty years, I’ve wondered about that little girl.” Jack said. Everyone was silent. “The girl who saved my life when I fell of the dock back in 2004.”
Uncle Jack was in tears. He explained that little girl saved him, despite she didn’t have the strength. She put all her effort and put her life at risk. A man heard her screams, and they pulled Jack out of the water. There she cut her leg.
People got shocked once more. “That scar… I’ve never forgotten it.” Jack said. Madeline was in shock too, as she was crying.
She revealed that she barely remembers it. She was so little at the time. Jack revealed that he stopped drinking after that day and started to volunteer at community service centers.
“I probably could’ve handled that better. Sorry about that, sweetheart.” Jack said, as he apologized.
Then the tension dropped, and everyone laughed as they kept dancing happily.
