After her parents passed away when she was ten, Megan started to live with his uncle, Tim. He didn’t have children, so he decided to be Megan’s legal guardian. One day she asked about who would take her to dress shopping when she would get married, and Tim promised that he will.
As time passed, Megan become more independent. Tim tried his best to raise her well, but Megan changed over time. During college, she met Tyler and later she became pregnant. She left school and decided to raise her children. Tyler had weird jobs, and they later welcomed three children. They weren’t married.
One day, they visited Tim, and revealed that they were getting married. They also explained that they were going to have a big wedding. Then Megan talked about how her uncle promised her to buy a wedding dress.
When she revealed that she liked two dresses, one was $7,500 and the other one was $5,000. She wanted both of them.
Tim tried to explain that he can’t afford that much, but Megan was upset, as she recalled his promise. Tim offered $1,500 and said that they could go to the local store and search for something good together.
“This is my wedding. I don’t want to settle for less.” Megan said.
Few days later, Megan went to Tim’s house once more. While he was in garage, he heard Megan talking on the phone. She was talking with Tyler, and stated that Tim would give them the money. If he would buy the dress, they could sell the dress and repair Tyler’s car.
Tim’s heart skipped a beat. He wanted to confront her but then he acted as if he didn’t hear her conversation with Tyler.
Then she told that she already spent the trust fund her late parents left for her on Tyler’s car. That devastated Tim. He was also angry. He then talked with Megan about how he heard her conversation.
“You were going to take my money, buy the dress, and then sell it to pay for other things. And you spent your parents’ trust fund on Tyler’s car? Why didn’t you tell me?”
As Tim kept scolding her, Megan said that she is sorry, and left. Since that day, they didn’t talked or Megan texted him. Few weeks later, Tim learned that Megan and Tyler went to courthouse and married in a small ceremony.
