TOM PARKER, QUEEN CAMILLA’S SON, TALKED ABOUT HIS MOTHER

After King Charles was diagnosed with cancer and started his treatment, Queen Camilla took responsibility, and attended to many royal events. As she was once a disliked figure, through her recent actions, she became a popular person in the royal family.

Her popularity increased from 35 percent to 38 in two months as a result. Royal expert Angela Levin talked about this topic in royal podcast Royally Obsessed, along with co-hosts Roberta Fiorito and Rachel Bowie.

“I feel like on the heels of Camilla taking on solo engagements daily last week…to see Camilla step up, keep calm and carry on, and knowing what she’s also managing with her own kind of reactions and mental health over what’s going on with her husband, it’s the whole difference between duty and family,” Roberta Fiorito shared.

“You have to continue what you have to do for the crown, but you also have to process your emotions over Charles’s cancer diagnosis.”

Bowie stated that Queen Camilla had acted bravely as it is a big responsibility, where she acted in the name of the King. “I think that has to be so incredibly hard, and such a heavy, heavy burden, to do while in public, too. It’s a lot to balance all at once,” Bowie said.

A source shared that King Charles’ treatment is going “better than expected.” Queen Camilla also is a big support in this hard time of the royal family. A friend of Queen Camilla talked with The Daily Mail, after Camilla’s 77th birthday in July.

“In private, people had never seen her so worried. Forget who they are for a second. Look at it from a human level. Her beloved husband was facing a very serious condition. The battle of his life. It was hugely tough,” the friend shared.

“The public had no idea what she was going through. She was speaking to patients, survivors and even the families of those who had lost their lives to this awful disease in front of the cameras. And she didn’t even blink. That takes serious guts.” Another friend continued.

Robert Jobson, royal author, shared that Queen Camilla didn’t want King Charles to talk about his cancer diagnosis so soon, as she wanted to keep it as a secret.

“Queen Camilla had initially been against disclosing his condition, but the King overruled her, as he felt it was a chance to take a lead, and in doing so to encourage men experiencing similar symptoms to seek timely medical attention,” royal author shared.

“There was a significant increase in searches related to enlarged prostate on the National Health Service website following the monarch’s revelation. The NHS England page on benign prostate enlargement had more than 26,000 visits in the 48 hours after the announcement, compared to a daily average of just 1,400.”

As King Charles is now returned to his royal affairs, he was not spotted a lot with his wife, Queen Camilla. The Queen also is not happy with King Charles’ not being listening what the doctors are saying. Lee Child, royal author, stated that Queen said that the King is “doing fine except he won’t slow down and won’t do what he’s told.”

In few weeks, Queen Camilla and King Charles will be touring Australia and Samoa. It is the first major trip of King Charles, since his coronation.

“Their Majesties, The King and Queen, will undertake an Autumn tour from Friday 18th to Saturday 26th October 2024,” a Palace spokesperson said. “This will include a royal visit to Australia, State Visit to the Independent State of Samoa and attendance at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) 2024.”

“The King, who has this year been receiving treatment for cancer, will meet Professor Georgina Long and Professor Richard Scoyler, both Australians of the Year, and will hear about the work they do to help those affected by melanoma, one of Australia’s most common cancers.”

Cameron Walker, a royal expert, talked about the trip. “As we knew, doctors had given the King the green light to travel. It is going to be the first long-haul travel the King has done since his cancer diagnosis. But it’s very clear from the information I’ve received this afternoon that adaptions have been made. For example, New Zealand originally was on the agenda for the King and Queen to travel to – that has now been ruled out on doctor’s advice.”

“Because he’s been mindful that he’s undergoing cancer treatments, he’s also going to be spending some time at an engagement to do with melanoma and cancer treatment,” Walker also shared.

Queen Camilla’s son, Tom Parker-Bowles also talked about King Charles and Queen Camilla recently. As Tom promoted his new book, Cooking and the Crown, he revealed that Charles’ “treatment is going well,” and added that his mother is doing just fine.
