On the 17th of October, Travis Kelce shared a video, where he was making a “fit check” video. In the clip, Kelce transformed into a man with a mullet, which received mixed reactions from people on social media.
In the video Kelce shared, the Kansas City Chiefs player transformed himself into the FX’s horror series, Ed Laclan, from “Grotesquerie.”
In the series, Kelce is playing Ed Laclan, who is a nurse. This is Kelce’s first ever role in a series.
The official Instagram account of the horror-fiction show shared the clip and captioned it as, “N̶o̶t̶h̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶w̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶i̶t̶ ̶s̶e̶e̶m̶s̶. No one is who they seem.”
Niecy Nash, Kelce’s co-star in the show commented as, “He went from being a Rico Suave to somebody I didn’t recognize.”
A social media user commented, “Whatever he’s selling, I’m buying! What a transformation.” While a different user wrote, “That’s an insane transformation omg, so excited to see what’s coming 👀👀👀.”
The rest of the comments were like:
“He’s great in that show 👏.. [sic] this look however is not his best 😂😂 but he’s killing it as the character.”
“Resembles a country star! Lol,”
“Good Lord, don’t ever look like that ever again yuck.”
When the co-creator of the show Ryan Murphy talked about Kelce, he also talked about a possibility of Taylor Swift appearing on the second season of the show.
“I was so shy talking to Travis about her. But he’s very sweet about it and respectful. They are a pop-culture phenomenon. It’s a very interesting dynamic, the way they’ve captured the imagination of the world.”
“They drive off to this black limbic space, which makes absolutely no sense. But it does make sense now, because you know [Lois] is in a coma,” Murphy said.
