52-year-old Erik Sprague is on a journey, where he is transforming his body into a reptile’s body. Sprague started to this journey 30 years ago, as he started a liking against reptiles.
“I became a fan of the way reptiles cross all cultures and history. No matter where you go, there is either a tale of a lizard man or a reptilian,” Sprague said in his interview with “This Morning.”
“You have the serpent in the garden of Eden. Reptiles occupy a very special place in human consciousness and as an artist, it was something that I felt like I could exploit.”
“I very often cause people to pause and do double takes,” 32-year-old man obsessed with reptiles shared.
He then revealed that he suffered a lot of pain in his transformative journey. He decided to split his tongue in 1997, and while they cut his tongue, he was smelling and tasting his own tongue burning.
“The swelling was so severe that it took about a week for the swelling to go down to the point where I could speak or eat normally.”
He also modified his forehead with “teflon subdermally grafted to his skull to create the implants over his eyes.”
Through this process, Sprague shared that he “vomited and hallucinated as a result of pain.”
“You have got to suffer for your art,” obsessed man shared.
