From the early ages, Desi Jr. had struggled with addiction. He got married after he fixed his life. As Desi Jr. lost his granddaughter, he is living away from the public now.

His parents Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz were both in acting business, and they took their son to show, “I Love Lucy.” After the show was over, Ball went on with the sitcom, “Here’s Lucy.”

Ball was 77 when she passed away, and left her son alone in this world. Despite not being an actor, Desi Jr. Had struggled with addiction and other things in his life.

With his pop rock band “Dino, Desi, and Billy,” Desi Jr. reached to fame. He later acted with his sister Lucie Arnaz in “Here’s Lucy.” He was 29 when he talked about himself as “dangerously close to the terminal stage of (substance) abuse.”

“I was destroying myself,” he added. “I got tired of being me.”

“I can’t tell you how much his addiction hurt us.” Lucille Ball shared once. “It tore me apart.”

When he received a letter from his father, Desi Jr. worked on to fix his life and saved himself from his addiction. “The purpose in life is not the temporary rewards but a deeper lasting happiness.”

Desi Jr. stated that it “was probably the most amazing thing that could have happened.”

He was a playboy as he called himself. He was publicly present. He was 17 when he was dating 23-year-old Patty Duke. Then he started dating Liza Minelli. They stayed together for 18 months and lived together until Liza left Desi Jr.

He also dated with Kim Darby and Tina Sinatra. He decided to stop when he was 38. He got married to a dance teacher and lived in Nevada. His wife had a 14-year-old daughter from her first marriage.

Desi Jr. also had a daughter from ex-model Susan Callahan-Howe. His daughter, Julia Howe had a “beautiful relationship,” after the DNA test. But things went wrong in their relationship, and Howe became an addict just like her father.

As years passed, their relationship got better and better. Sadly, his granddaughter Desiree S. Anzalone passed away, and his daughter revealed that her father had helped her a lot with her struggle.

Desiree was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer, and lost her life on the 27th of September, 2020. As they revealed, Desiree said that she wanted “to give awareness for young girls her age because this does happen. It’s rare, but it does happen.”

When it was Desi Jr.’s birthday in 2022, Luci Arnaz shared a picture of him from her social media account. “Who loves you, Baby??? Happy Birthday to my handsome, nutty brother who turned 69 today!!! I love you, Desi.” She captioned the picture she shared.

The latest picture of Desi is from 3rd of August, 2024. Again Lucia Arnaz had shared Desi’s picture from her social media account, where Desi is seen with his cap.
