Sarah was 11 when her mother passed away. That was a devastating experience for her. As her father was grieving too, he decided to find a new woman to ease his pain, and married with Madeline.
At first, Sarah thought that she would go to an orphanage, but Madeline was an incredible woman. The first thing she did when she met Sarah, Madeline told her that she will be there whenever she needed her.
When Sarah asked that if they will send her to an orphanage, Madeline assured her that she will stay in her home as long as she wanted. And she replied that she will attend to every need of her.
She proved that to be true, as she stayed in Sarah’s life as close to her own mother. Madeline loved her as if Sarah was her own daughter. She was there whenever she needed.
Years passed, and Sarah lost her father too. But Madeline was there again. She was the pillar in her heart. Madeline was the reason Sarah was still standing. They were a real family, despite they didn’t share any blood.
When the morning of Sarah’s 18th birthday arrived, Madeline woke her with a cupcake. “Happy birthday, sweetheart,” Madeline said to her, and placed a kiss on her cheek.
Sarah thanked, and she also stated that she has a surprise for her too. But she told her to move her to pack her stuff.
Madeline was confused. “Pack my things? Are you… Are you serious?”
Sarah revealed that she wants her to pack everything she had, because she was leaving the house. She revealed that she was planning this since the day her father passed away.
Madeline was devastated. She did as Sarah told her. The drive was a silent one rather than their usual drives.
As their ride was about to be over, Sarah started to reveal that before he passed away, Sarah’s father opened an account in her name. He saved a lot of money for Sarah’s education and future. She then stated that she also saved money from her part-time jobs and gifts.
Sarah stated that she will be using some of the money for her education, and then parked the car in front of a big house. She then revealed that she bought a house for Madeline, because she was a real mother for her.
Madeline was shocked, since she thought that Sarah was kicking her out. But instead, Sarah bought a house in the same city where she was going to study in college.
As they cried, they hugged to each other.
