Kathleen was a single mother, where she lost her husband four years ago because of cancer. Now she needed to work hard to pay the debts and loans. Sadly, they lost their house two years after she lost her husband.
Kathleen and Robert were living in a small rented apartment as they were struggling economically. She was living for her son, as she was receiving power from him.
Slowly, Robert noticed that his mother was losing herself with alcohol as time passed. He then decided to help her, but she refused as she was under the influence of the drinks she consumed.
After she yelled at Robert, he went back to his room. An hour later Kathleen went to apologize. She then talked about her struggles, as her son was her only friend.
Then Robert stated that she is not alone, as he revealed that he will help to his mother from this moment on. Then he went to his wardrobe, and brought a box to his mother.
He then explained that his father left this box for Kathleen, he told Robert that they should open the box if they needed help when he was gone.
When Kathleen opened the box, she found $15,000 in it and a letter, written for her.
That night, she didn’t sleep and kept reading the letter from her husband. Then she noticed that her husband’s handwriting was different on the letter, and that it was close to her son’s writing.
When the morning arrived, Kathleen questioned her son, and Robert was forced to reveal that he was working in part-time jobs whenever he could find empty time in his school life.
Through the hardships of life, mother and son worked hard and freed themselves from the debt, and after Robert finished college, he founded a company, and became successful in a short notice.
He bought a home for his mother with the first money he gained through his hardwork, and founded a charity organization to help other people who lost their parents, with the guidance of his mother.
