SHE PAID MORE THAN SHE SHOULD DURING THE LUNCH WITH HER COLLEAGUES, SHE FOUND A WAY TO AVOID IT

Sally started her new job, where she was happy that she had a place in a big company and an office.

The office had a tradition where they would go out for a lunch each Friday. As Sally was the new member of the office, she was invited to the lunch.

But there was a difference. Her colleagues were earning much more than her as they were established in the company. With her starting salary, she was only able to making ends meet.

They would split the bill each time, despite not caring who eat what. Sally would order a simple salad since she was a vegetarian, but she would also pay for other things too. She would pay triple the amount she supposed to pay.

She was losing half of her groceries budget each week, and that has to stop. She talked with her colleagues, and they laughed at her.

Then she had her plan. The first week after that, she ordered two appetizers, one for the table. Then the next week she ordered two appetizers and two main courses.

On the third week, she ordered two appetizers and two main courses and a dessert. When the waiter arrived, Sally wanted an appetizer and dessert to be packed. The colleagues were surprised and Lisa asked, “Wait, are you actually taking leftovers home now?”

Then Sally explained what was happening, and how she was paying extra $40 each week. When her colleagues understood how wrong they were at the first place, they later started to pay for their own orders, instead of just splitting the bill.
