Clem’s grandmother Molly would gift her a plastic sheep for each year. Clem never understood why her grandmother was doing this, but it was a colorful tradition for them, as she would have plastic sheep in different colors.
At some point, Clem thought that her grandmother would forget what she bought last year as she was getting older. But their great relationship never got harmed, as Clem was happy that she had a caring grandmother.
As years passed, one day Jen, Clem’s mother, walked into her room. Clem was reading a book. Jen was crying, as Clem slowly realized what happened. Grandma Molly was in ICU, as she was sick. Her time was come.
That week passed quickly as Clem couldn’t understand what happened, or didn’t want to understand. On that day, her brother Matt told Clem that Molly’s will reading will happen at the lawyer’s office. Clem refused to go, as she didn’t had strength to walk outside. She was happy with her plastic sheep.
After they came back from the office, Matt gave a letter to Clem. “It’s about the sheep grandma gave to you. Read it.”
Clem was 20 at the time, and she had 20 sheep. In the letter Molly wrote to Clem, she wrote that she always loved her, and that she always will. There was also a bank account, and the password she needed was under the sheep.
Then Clem checked the belly of the sheep, and found numbers under them. She arranged the sheep according to her birthdays, and the necessary number was there.
As she went to the bank to check the account, the bank manager handed a letter and her college fund.
“My dear Clem, I want you to have this money for your education, and after graduation, to start your life. I always loved you, and your brother. He had his eagles, and you had your sheep. With lots of love, Molly.”
