Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian had opened an Instagram account for their 14-month-old daughter, Adira Ohanian. After the first post of her social media account was published, people made many comments about the striking resemblance with her dad, Alexis.
The first picture of Adira was captioned as, “Oh hello there- I know it’s been over a year but I’m just getting to this.”
There were comments like:
“Daddy’s twin ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,”
“She looks like Dad!”
“Daddy’s eyes 👏,”
“She looks exactly like Papa.”
“This child was a copy and paste 😍.”
“Serena, your gene needs to fight back…. Back to back.”
“Such an absolutely gorgeous baby!!!”
Adira’s post received thousands of comments, and more than 120,000 likes. On the description of her social media account, her parents wrote, “Gummy Bear.”
When Serena talked about her daughter’s name, the mother shared, “Adira is a girl’s name of Hebrew origin and means ‘mighty,’ ‘strong,’ and ‘majestic.’ The elegant name is popular in many cultures around the world. Adira is the feminine form of the classic name Adir. It is a Biblical name, meaning ‘Strong One.'”
She opted for natural birth when Olympia was born. “Because looking back, I’ll never have that moment again. For whatever weird reason, that kind of makes me a little sad, but that’s probably a party of one.”
She had a plan for Adira’s birth, as the famous sportswoman shared, “I like to say I put my best effort out there, and this was no different. I literally thought about it as a Grand Slam: How can I succeed?”
