SCHOOL SHOOTER’S MOTHER DECIDED TO TALK ABOUT THE TEXT HER SON SENT

On the 4th of September, a terrible event happened at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia. A 14-year-old student attempted to a school shooting, where four people died and nine people got injured. Two 14-year-old students and two teachers passed away.

The students were identified as Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo and the teachers were Richard Aspinwall, 39, and Christina Irimie, 53.

In a classroom, students helped a wounded teacher with their t-shirts, where they stopped the bleeding while a boy shut the classroom door to keep the shooter away from their clasroom.

Colt’s mother, Marcee Gray, reached to the school after she heard about the shooting. Her sister, Annie Brown, shared.

Colt sent a text to his mother before he started the school shooting. He wrote, “I’m sorry, mom,” to his mother. Then the mother called the school, and begged them to find her son before it was too late, as it was an “extreme emergency.”

Marcee didn’t talk about the shooting after the news of the situation started to being spread. She stated that the shooting was “absolutely horrific,” and said, “I am so, so sorry and cannot fathom the pain and suffering they are going through right now.”

People criticised the mother as they wrote, “She got that cray cray look,” and “Both have the crazy eyes,””This was allowed to happen,” “Is she under arrest too? Is she just like the dad? Wondering.”

A week before the terrible events, the family revealed to the school that Colt was mentally struggling and that “He starts with the therapist tomorrow.” Was stated by his grandmother.

“The adults around him failed him,” Annie said.
