As the technology is evolving, the usage area of artificial intelligence is growing too. Sam’s Club announced that they launched an AI tech at 120 locations to check the customer receipts as soon as they exit.
This will let people leave Sam’s Club faster than it used to be as it is said. People would wait in queue, as an employe would check their receipt. Now, they are launching an AI powered system to reduce the queue.
“When we combine this technology with our Scan & Go shopping experience, it provides a near friction-free shopping experience,” Todd Garner, CFO, explained. “The member can simply walk out, and that’s a big differentiated experience from what we had historically.”
