RICHARD GERE RECEIVED BACKLASH AFTER WHAT HIS WIFE WORE IN VENICE FILM FESTIVAL

The iconic actor Richard Gere had appeared with his family at the Venice Film Festival, on the 1st of September. Along with his wife, Alejandra Silva, his son was with him too. People commented about his wife’s wardrobe choice, and the carbon copy son of Gere.

Gere wore a black tuxedo, while his wife Alejandra chose to wear a revealing dress, which she received backlash for.

The dress was called the “Mab Dress,” and it was designed by Silvia Tcherassi. The dress had a low cut, a high neckline, and many see through spots on it. The dress is worth $4,206.60

In other pictures, Gere’s handsome son Homer Gere, his son from ex-wife Carey Lowell, posed with his stepmother, Alejandra.

In the video went viral on social media, Gere put his hand over his son’s shoulder as they were speaking with reporters while laughing.

There were many mean comments towards Alejandra as:

“[She] looks extremely uncomfortable,”

“[Terrible] body language,”

“Shame on him,”

On the other hand, some other people praised the couple as:

Gere’s son, Homer, also received some praising comments from social media users. A person commented, “His son is gorgeous🔥,” as other people commented about the striking resemblance between Gere and his son.

“His son looks a lot like him! Lucky guy,”

“Is that his son or grandson? He looks like him.”

Also, in the festival, Richard Gere talked about his career as an actor, and as Chris Gardner shared, he also watched his performance from his 27th age. Gere watched his debut film, “Days of Heaven,” from 1978.

“This is so emotional for me to see — this is my first film and […] I don’t think I’ve seen this probably in 30/40 years. Uhm, I think I was 26 or 27 when we made that film and I’m looking at my son over here.” Gere said.

“I think I was only a little bit older than him and he’s starting his career as an actor now and he’s really good. He’s really good.”
