Linda had no umbrella with her when the rain started to pour. She was soaking wet. She then saw a cafe, which was famous with its elite customers, and she thought she can take shelter in there until the rain was over.
At the entrance, the manager stopped Linda and stated that the cafe was an exclusive place and that she needs a reservation to enter. He then stated that she probably wouldn’t even afford a coffee in there too.
Linda was offended. Then the manager, whose name was Simon, as she saw from nameplate, stated that he is hosting over 200 people event, and that she should go without wasting his time.
Linda asked to seek shelter away from the rain. Only until the rain was over. “I can’t let you go in looking like that. You’re going to scare away all of our guests,” Simon said.
On the next day, the owner called Simon. The owner wanted Simon to make sure that everything was perfectly in order. The potential buyers of the cafe, the owner named them.
After some time later, Simon was called by the owner once again, he was going to introduce him to the potential buyers. Simon’s head was looking down when he arrived. The owner described him as a kind, sensitive, sympathetic, and helpful person.
“Very nice indeed. I can see that he is exactly the way you described him to be,” Linda’s voice was heard then.
The manager, Simon went pale when he heard Linda’s voice. Without saying anything further, Linda and her husband bought the cafe. They came on the next day to meet with the staff.
Linda directly turned to Simon, and stated that he was demoted to a waiter. Simon accepted his fate.
One day, an old lady was about to pay her bill. Then she got panicked as she stated that she left her wallet at home. Then Simon stated that he will pay for her bill, and she shouldn’t worry.
That day, Linda realised that Simon had his lesson, and he was ready to be the manager again.
