NEIGHBOUR REFUSED TO PAY FOR HER DAUGHTER, AFTER HER DAUGHTER BABYSAT FOR A WEEK

Rebecca was scared when she found her daughter Lucy, crying in front of the outside door. She asked what happened to her. Lucy couldn’t talk for a while, and then explained the situation.

She then stated that Emma didn’t pay her the money she promised to her for babysitting. Emma wanted to give her a life lesson. “’You should always get things in writing. Never trust someone’s word!'”

Rebecca couldn’t believe what she heard.

Then Lucy complained about Emma’s children. She stated they were awful as they never listened Lucy. They constantly threw things at each other and at Lucy. The children were spoiled, and for a week, they gave Lucy a rough time.

Rebecca asked how much money did Emma owed to her daughter, and Lucy counted the hours and days she worked. “I babysat for four hours each day for five days… so that’s $220.”

Then Rebecca gave the money to her daughter. She revealed that Lucy earned it through hard work, and that now Emma was owing money to Rebecca.

It was 10 a.m., Rebecca rang Emma’s doorbell. With a cheerful face, she thanked to Emma when the door was opened. “For the wonderful life lesson you taught Lucy yesterday. You know, about the importance of contracts and trust?”

Then Emma was pleased that her evil action was not being understand by Rebecca. Then Rebecca said that she told everyone the story. When Emma heard “everyone,” she went pale.

“Oh, the moms’ group has been fascinated. Sarah was just saying this morning how interesting it was that you had a teenage girl work for a week without pay.”

Emma was scared. She never liked when people didn’t appreciate or respected her. Rebecca then revealed that she also posted the story in the neighbourhood Facebook group too.

Then she started to read the comments where other neighbours called Emma’s actions disgusting, terrible…

Some other parents even wanted to talk this matter on the school board meeting. People were talking about ostracising Emma for what she did.

Emma was petrified. “Rebecca, I think there’s been a misunderstanding—”

“You were very clear about the ‘lesson’ you wanted to teach. And now everyone knows exactly what kind of… educator you are.” Rebecca cut her in.

Emma wanted Rebecca to delete those post before her reputation got ruined more. “No!” Rebecca smiled, “I’m going to teach you a life lesson!”
