Patty was happy that she had a great life, where she felt blessed. With her husband Frank, she had a daughter, Angie. They raised Angie with love, and she had a great career and her own life.
At the age of 90, Patty thought that she was lucky to live her life that way. She felt love and gave love. She was grateful to God.
Patty was also excited because her daughter promised that she would bring her granddaughter too for her 90th birthday party. They were going to spend the day together.
Angie and her ex-husband Joe were incredibly kind against Patty. She was fond of Joe, as she would love him. She was devastated when she learned that Angie and Joe were having a divorce.
But when her birthday arrived, she received no guests. She called Angie, but couldn’t reach to her. Time passed, and she was sitting on her bed alone, looking out the window, expecting to hear or see her daughter and granddaughter.
Then her door got knocked. She was expecting to see her daughter, but instead, a masculine man greeted her. Joe was there with flowers and a gift. He celebrated her birthday as he gave her a warm hug.
“Is that my favorite chocolate I see there? Oh, wow! You remembered?!” Patty was emotional.
Then Patty invited Joe to dinner. Joe gladly accepted. Joe was expecting to find his ex-wife and daughter in there, but he didn’t see them. So, he asked Pat about them.
Then Joe called Angie, and she picked up the call. Joe then became upset, as he revealed that Angie and their daughter was on a vacation with her new boyfriend.
Patty was upset too after what she heard. She couldn’t believe that her own daughter left her alone in her birthday, while her ex-son-in-law visited her with flowers and accompanied her for dinner.
