Amanda met David two years ago, in a group therapy. She was there because some of her relationships left some marks in her soul, and David was there as he was talking with people.
When Amanda introduced David to her mother, Carla didn’t like what she saw. She would like for her daughter to find a man who can walk, since David was bound to his wheelchair after an accident where he lost his mother.
Carla did everything she can to stop Amanda from marrying David, as she even questioned their sex life.
Then the wedding arrived. It was beautiful for both of them. An unforgettable night. But the reception was terrible, as Carla destroyed the wedding.
“I picked this out especially for you, David,” Carla said loudly.
She gifted running shoes to David, who was a crippled man. People gasped and looked at Carla with disgust in their eyes.
Then Amanda saw red. She started to scream at her mother. And pushed her until she was out of the wedding zone. No one could calm her down until her mother was out of sight.
She immediately returned to David, and apologized in tears for her terrible mother.
Few weeks after the wedding, Carla wanted to talk with Amanda. When she talked with her husband, David stated that everyone would deserve a second chance. But Amanda knew how terrible her mother was, and she didn’t talk with her.
Two days later, she received a call from her mother’s friends, Sally. She then revealed that Carla had another plan to deceive her. She was going to use a hooker to trick her that David was cheating on her.
When Amanda talked with her mother for the last time, and Carla passed away years later, alone and miserable. She never got to know her grandchildren.
