During the dinner, Gemma brought the gifts she prepared for her daughter and daughter-in-law. When her daughter opened her gift, she found a diamond necklace in a decorated box, while Sally received plastic earrings in a simple box.

Gemma took Sally to her house, and showed her the chest. Once Sally opened it, she couldn’t believe her eyes with all the antiques and old family pictures. She was feeling proud.
There was also a diary of the great-grandmother of the family, where the old granny was explaining the situation, and the aim of this tradition. Then Gemma explained that the diamond necklace was only a distraction for her own daughter, since in her eyes, she was not the one who deserved the chest.
