Emmy was sure that her future mother-in-law was not very much fond of her. She was believing that someone from Emmy’s background wouldn’t fit into their family. During the wedding preparations, she was constantly complaining.
Then during her bridal party, Emmy decided to pull a prank on Jacob’s mother, Gemma. She hired a fortune teller and gave some details about Gemma to mock her.
The party started perfectly as people were laughing. Then the fortune teller came. She did some readings from tarots, and then the prank started.
The woman turned to Gemma and stated that her bag was holding a secret. This was not part of the prank. People were surprised.
“There is something you’ve done… something you’ve hidden.”
“This is ridiculous,” Gemma smiled nervously. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Something was wrong, and Gemma did something. It was clear from her face and her nervousness.
Then the fortune teller revealed that Gemma was going to sabotage the wedding. She was holding something hidden.
“I don’t know what game you’re playing, but I’m not going to sit here and listen to this nonsense.”
Then Emmy asked the content of her bag. Gemma was holding her bag tightly, as her face was pale as if she had seen a ghost.
Then she opened her bag. In it there was a sewing kit, and pieces from the lace of Emmy’s wedding gown.
People gasped with what they had seen. Gemma was scared and embarrassed. She started to cry. “I didn’t mean for this to happen,” she murmured.
She revealed that she never wanted her marrying with Jacob, and decided that if she would ruin her dress, maybe Jacob would change his mind. She started to cry too.
She stated that she made some arrangements on the dress for she wanted the dress to fall down while Emmy was walking down the aisle.
When her ill intent was revealed in front of everyone, she was filled with guilt and fear. She was embarrassed in front of people who she gave importance.
“How dare you,” Emmy’s mother said. She was angry, and there for her daughter’s protection. “How dare you try to sabotage my daughter’s wedding. Do you know how much she loves Jacob? How much we’ve done to include you in all of this?”
“You’ve made your feelings clear. You don’t respect my daughter, and you don’t respect this family.”
Then Stella wanted Gemma to fix what she ruined. Gemma had no other option. She had to change people’s mind with her actions. She went to the store, and revealed what she did, where Jacob learned everything, and excluded her from the wedding.
