Amy had two daughters, from her first marriage she welcomed 10-year-old Tessa, and from her marriage with Grant, she had her daughter Sadie. Tessa was the silent one, while Sadie was the active one.
Grant loved both of the girls, but her mother-in-law Linda her own opinions. She was not very fond of Tessa.
She was open with her thoughts about Tessa, as Linda would make comments about Tessa. She always stated that Tessa wasn’t belong in her family.
She would mock her whenever she got the chance. She would forget her birthdays, and get big gifts to Sadie.
Tessa would be hurt, but she wouldn’t say anything as she was a smart, respectful little girl.
One day, Amy and Grant needed to be out of the state since they needed to attend to a funeral. They left their daughters with Linda, but Amy had her doubts. Three days later, when they returned, Amy felt that something was wrong.
The house was quiet. There was a note on the fridge. Linda took Sadie to the park. There was no mentioning of Tessa. Amy was afraid for her daughter.
She called her name, but there was no response. She then searched the house grounds. She then saw something pulled the blood from her veins. Her daughter was in the basement, where she saw from basement window.
She rushed to the basement. She started to record from her phone as she would need evidence in case Linda would refuse what she did. She then found her daughter, Tessa, sleeping over a cardboard. She was weak, and cold.
Then Tessa revealed that her grandmother put her down there. Linda told Tessa that she was not her real granddaughter, and only Sadie was. Tessa revealed that she didn’t eat anything for the last two days too.
When Linda came back with Sadie, she didn’t say anything. She thanked for watching over children. She waited for few weeks, until the traditional gathering of the family.
At there, Amy opened the video of how she found Tessa, and the things she told to her mother. The family were shocked with what they heard. Linda yelled that it was a lie, but there was the video, playing on the big screen.
After that, Linda was ostracised from the family. She lived and died as a sad, lonely, and a terrible person as she deserved.
