Dan and Elly had their small and perfect wedding. Their families and close friends were the only guests at the wedding. The weird thing was, after the ceremony, Dan’s mother Karen handed a paper to Elly.
On it was written, “How to Be a Good Wife for My Son.”
Elly was shocked when she saw the note. There were some rules to follow. She then checked her husband, but he was busy attending to the guests.
At the evening, Dan asked to Elly that if she received the rules from his mother. It was a normal question for him.
But for Elly, that was not something normal.
He told Elly that things were different now, as they were not dating anymore and that they were married.
She waited for Dan to laugh, but he was serious, “Wait… You’re serious?”
The rules were incredibly cringy. She was being ordered to do things for Dan, while he had no orders to do for Elly.
He was expecting his breakfast to be ready at 6:30 a.m. He would want no veggies, no milk, no butter, only plain eggs and a toast.
Elly needed to do all the grocery shopping by herself, as Dan wouldn’t like stores.
He would like to see the kitchen spotlessly clean after dinner. As a man, he wouldn’t want to see any mess.
He would like to see Elly in conservative clothes when his friends are visiting.
The list was going and going.
Elly couldn’t believe that the man she loved was like this all the time. She then decided to give her husband a chance to see the how terrible it was after the lesson she planned for him.
She did the exact opposite things on the list for a week, and waited for her husband to turn back to the man he was while they were engaged.
After the first day, it was time for Dan and his mother to reveal that this was just a bad prank, as it was a way to welcome Elly into the family.
