Melina was a rich woman, who kept the business of her late husband at hand. She was living in a mansion which was worth millions. She left her business to her son, James.
James had a wife, Stacy, and they had a daughter, Andie. Since they wouldn’t visit the mansion much, Melina and Stacy rarely see each other.
One day, James lost his life in a car crash. As his wife and daughter were left behind, Melina decided to transfer the business to Stacy, as it returned back to her after James passed away.
As time passed, Stacy started to visit more and more the mansion. She would come and cry at Melina’s knees. Then she learned that Melina left the business to her, she was over the moon.
After that, she constantly visited Melina, and started to spend time with her. She would call her mom, and would hug and kiss her.
When Andie’s birthday arrived, Stacy wanted to celebrate it with a party in the mansion. Melina was more than happy. She accepted it directly. The preparations were made and everything was ready.
Then Stacy told to the crew that she misplaced her phone and Meline overheard that. She decided to call her phone. She then heard a barking sound and she found Stacy’s phone by the pool, on a table.
On the screen it was written on the caller’s ID as, “MONSTER-IN-LAW.” The ringtone was a dog bark. Melina was devastated to learn that. She returned the phone as she wanted to do something about it.
At the party, after the cake was cut by Aiden and the time for gifts come, Melina wanted to talk. She then revealed that as she was the “monster-in-law” of her daughter-in-law, she decided to disinherit her from her wealth.
She told that Aiden will receive everything she owned when she was 18, and legally, Stacy can’t use a dime from her wealth.
