The famous actor of “Friends,” Matt LeBlanc, married Meliss McKnight in 2003, and the couple welcomed their daughter Marina Pearl LeBlanc in 2004. Marina was born with a condition, as she later recovered.
Marina was diagnosed with cortical dysplasia, which affected her brain, bones and motor skills. As it affected Marina’s walking and caused seizures, her devoted father was there for her.
Despite their marriage was in a turbulent mode due to infidelity rumours, LeBlanc was focused on his daughter. “My daughter was diagnosed with a problem with her head. It was a very dark period. But I got through it. Don’t they say what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger?”
He also struggled with a nanny who sold stories about Marina to the press. “We had a nanny who sold the story about my daughter to the papers. It was a very dark period,” LeBlanc said.
To focus on his daughter, LeBlanc decided to stop his career. “I was so burned out after ‘Joey,’ I just didn’t want to work,” he said.
“I wanted to not have a schedule, not be somewhere. And I was in a position where I could do that. I wanted to spend time with my daughter. She is the most important thing in my life, and spending that time with her was the best thing I have ever done,” the actor said.
In 2006, LeBlanc and McKnight divorced. As the reports suggested, LeBlanc didn’t work with a lawyer for the divorce case. They shared their daughter’s custody, and the former couple also stayed in good terms. Luckily, Marina recovered from her condition.
When Matt LeBlanc talked about his daughter when Marina was 12, he stated that his daughter was interested with two things, “Horses and Rihanna.”
When Ellen DeGeneres asked LeBlanc, in her show, that if Marina thinks he is a cool celebrity, the actor said, “I don’t think she thinks I’m too cool, no.”
He also spoke of how his daughter reacted when she watched Friends. “She loves to ask me questions about it. She’ll say: ‘Was that real? Did you really eat that? What did that taste like? Ooh, you ate that off the floor? That’s gross! You’re so funny, Dad.'”
While Matt was filming “Top Gear,” he went to a Bruce Springsteen concert at Wembley Stadium along with his daughter and stepdaughter.

LeBlanc talked about how his relationship with his daughter once and said, “Spending time with her is the best thing I’ve ever done. We have a great bond and it’s the best thing in my life.”
In September, 2024, Matt and his daughter were spotted in street. The father and daughter went for shopping cars, in their casual clothes.
