Amy was the new waitress of a restaurant. In her first day, a man from Japan had come there to eat. The man was barely speaking any English.
When she asked what the gentleman wanted, the Japanese man, Higashi, only said, “steak,” he stopped and think, “rice!”
She then told the man that they didn’t have a rice bowl, and she offered fries instead of it. Higashi nodded with a smile.
Then Amy returned to prepare the table. As she was about to prepare it, her manager, Andy, came.
He told Amy that she was wasting food. Then he gathered leftovers on his plate. He wanted Amy to serve this disgusting plate to the man.
“But I can’t! I can’t serve garbage to him. That’s against the rules!” Amy protested.
Then Andy threatened her with firing her. With no other choice, Amy brought the plate to Higashi with a shame on her face.
Higashi refused the plate as he tried to explain that he didn’t order that. Then Andy came, and forced the man to eat what Amy brought.
He started to harass Higashi with racist comments. As Higashi was hurt, he tried to leave. While he was leaving, he dropped his wallet and Andy saw the hundreds of dollars in it.
Then things changed. Andy stopped the man, and said, “Just a joke! Please sit.”
Then he brought some great dishes to Higashi, and he even brought a sake. He said that everything he brought was free, from the house. As he was serving the rice, he “accidentally,” poured it onto Higashi’s overcoat.
Then Andy tried to take it away from Higashi, as he told him that he will clean it. When he took the coat back of the kitchen, he took the money from in it.
Amy couldn’t believe what was her manager doing. She then decided to call the police. She kept him idle for a few minutes before the officers arrived. When the officers arrived she immediately told them what he did, and the officers held him.
As they watched the CCTV, they saw him while he was taking the money. After Higashi saw that too, he filed a complaint, and that led Andy to be taken under custody.
