Daniel overheard his neighbour’s son talking with Mrs. Carrino. She was an old woman, who asked her son to take care of her garden while she was away at the nursing home. Few seconds later, her son left the home yelling.
Mrs. Carrino was following her son as she pleaded to Arnold for taking care of her garden, where she confronted with him of knowing his intentions to take the house for himself.
After Arnold left, Daniel went to talk with Mrs. Carrino. The old lady was shocked to see Daniel, as she would be more shocked when she would hear what he would say.
As they talked, Daniel learned the full details of the situation where Arnold was sending his mother away to a nursing home, and how Mrs. Carrino was worried for her garden filled with beautiful flowers.
She explained that she would never sell her house, and she is not thinking to leave her house for her son too.
Then Daniel offered help with Mrs. Carrino’s garden. At first, Mrs. Carrino didn’t took him seriously, but she understand that Daniel was serious. She told him that she didn’t had the money to pay him, and Daniel explained that the didn’t wanted any money to take care of the garden.
As time passed, Mrs. Carrino started to live in the nursing home, and as Daniel loved gardening, he would visit her and talk about her new garden and how he is planning to add some new plants.
As Daniel started to work on the garden for new plants, in his first showelling effort, his showel hit something. He then found a bottle filled with a note.
“Hello Daniel! I loved the idea of you being the gardener of my house. And for that reason I’m leaving the house to you and your family! With love, Mrs. Carrino.”
