As he was a legend, seeing how he became a shadow of himself upset his fans. His passing made people incredibly sad as he had left an impact on the music industry over his decades long career.
“The first time I saw Kris performing at the Troubadour club in L.A. I knew he was something special,” Barbra Streisand said of his performance in A Star Is Born (1976). “Barefoot and strumming his guitar, he seemed like the perfect choice for a script I was developing, which eventually became A Star Is Born.”
Kristofferson was more than just a musician, as he was an Army ranger, a Rhodes scholar, a helicopter pilot, and an incredible storyteller. Channing Wilson shared from his social media account, “Kris, you left this world better than you found it.”
He was a social justice activist, where he supported civil rights and gender equality.
On the 28th of September, Kristofferson passed away in his Maui home. As people left tributes to his Instagram account, when they saw the last picture he shared, they couldn’t keep their tears.
Kris was standing with Tanya Tucker in the picture, where he was smiling towards the camera.
