82-year-old famous actress Juliet Mills, has been married more than 40 years with her 20 years younger husband, actor Maxwell Caulfield.
Mills started to her career with “Nurse on Wheels” (1963) and “Carry on Jack” (1964). Later the actress received her breakthrough along with James Stewart and Maureen O’Hara in the western film “The Rare Breed.”
When Mills talked about her memories in the industry, “I’m very proud of it and have very, very happy memories of it. I’m still recognized all over the place for that as much as anything I’ve ever done, which is extraordinary,” the actress said.
Mills met with her husband, Caulfield, while they were acting in the U.S. tour of the award-winning play, “The Elephant Man.”
Caulfield was giving life to John Merrick, and Mills was Mrs. Kendal of the show. Mills stated that it was an instinct to love him. “We were instant friends, immediately attracted.”
“It was instantaneous for us both.” The famous actress also stated. In 1980, while Caulfield was 21, they tied the knot. People criticised their age gap, but the couple didn’t listen anybody as they were sure of their decision to be together, as they were madly in love.
“It’s irrelevant. If you find someone you want to share your life with, it doesn’t matter if they are black or white, old or young, or what they are – it’s a soulmate.” Mills father said to the actress.
“And that’s what I found. We’ve silenced our critics now,” Mills shared.
They tied the knot on a cliff, where they were seeing the Pacific Ocean at Point Dume in Malibu. “She brings out the romantic in me.” Caulfield shared about Mills.
The actor also revealed in a recent interview that his wife is keeping him young. When they attended #ENOCarousel in 2017, Caufield shared a picture online and captioned it as, “Great conviction from @AlfieBoe & @KathJenkins, voices not 2 shabby either! Beautiful theatre.”
