HOW DID SINGER AALIYAH LOST HER LIFE, SHE WAS CARRIED ONTO THE PLANE UNCONSCIOUSLY

Aaliyah was a 22-year-old R&B artist. She was climbing the ladder of fame with steady steps. Sadly, her life ended after a plane crash.

She was born in Brooklyn and raised in Detroit. In 90s, she started to walk into stardom. She was only 15 when her debut album “Age Ain’t Nothing but a Number,” hit the charts. She had five Grammy nominations.

On the other hand, she had a strange relationship with R. Kelly. While Aaliyah was a teenager, R. Kelly was 27. People were talking that their relationship was more than just mentorship.

Then these rumors went up after a marriage document was leaked between Aaliyah and R. Kelly. Her age was shown as 18 to bypass legal issues. People shared that Aaliyah was pregnant while she was a minor and that was the reason why they were married.

Even the allegations, Aaliyah stated that she was not romantically together with R. Kelly.

“No, I’m not married. […] He’s a great producer, a great artist who I do admire, and there’s nothing, nothing there at all.”

She also worked with Timbaland and Missy Elliott. Aaliyah’s albums sold millions as she was becoming a super star, until her passing in 2001.

After Aaliyah passed away, more knowledge about her relationship with R. Kelly appeared, especially in 2022 trial. Many people were shared their knowledge about the situation.

When it was 2023, “Surviving R. Kelly” claimed that he had a non-disclosure agreement with Aaliyah’s family.

On the 25th of August, 2001, Aaliyah lost her life in a plane crash, where other eight people also died. She was in Bahamas for recording a music video.

She was on her way back to the states along with video-production director Douglas Kratz, bodyguard Scott Gallin, hairstylists Anthony Dodd and Eric Forman, Background Records executive Gina Smith, makeup artist Christopher Maldonado, and friend Keeth Wallace.

Before the takeoff of the plane, there were safety concerns. The plane was overloaded, and passengers insisted on moving on.

Aaliyah also stated that she was not feeling well as she was experiencing a headache. It is also stated that the singer was sleeping when they boarded her into the plane.

A senior investigative correspondent, Mara Schiavocampo shared, “She took the pill and that right after she fell into a very deep sleep. So deep in fact that she was carried onto the airplane still asleep and may not have even been aware that she was on the airplane.”

After the investigations, it is learned that the pilot was not authorized to control the plane. Morales also had a criminal record.

The pathologist, who was in charge of the autopsies shared that Aaliyah had suffered severe burns and a blow to the head.

“Aaliyah went into such a state of shock, even if she had survived the crash, recovery would have been near impossible,” Dr. Raju said.

“Everyone’s in total shock. You know, Abaco is a small island and we’ve never heard of anything like this before.” Grand Bahamas Police Superintendent Basil Rahming shared after Aaliyah’s passing.
