Christine was the golden girl of her grandparents. She was the one who they doted the most. Her brother, Tom, never received this much love from them, as he was from her mother’s first marriage.
At the dinner, the grandparents gathered their family and released their statement about their inheritance. They revealed that they cut Christine off from their inheritance after her recent behaviours.
They had no idea but Christine was happy to hear that, while her parents and half-brother gasped.
She came up with her plan few days ago. She was seeing the effort her brother for he was trying to impress their grandparents, but they were not noticing him.
Then she decided to act mean against them, she stopped calling them, and the only grandchild they were hearing from was left as Tom.
When she talked with Tom, it was clear that Tom wasn’t doing his job as a grandson for the money. He just wanted to have a good relationship with them. He wanted to be loved by his grandparents, but for they didn’t like his father, they never showed love to Tom.
She then visited her grandparents, and wanted a big amount of money for the “party” she was going to throw in a yacht. They were shocked to hear that from Christine, as she would never do such a thing.
As her plan worked, they revealed that Christine was cut off from the inheritance, and the money she would receive, was going to Tom. Tom protested, and revealed the truth then.
He was a smart man. He understood the things Christine did after grandparents revealed. As the family had a talk, and Christine confessed what she did, the family become one again, and the grandparents stated that everyone will share an equal share.
