On the 7th of October, 2022, a mother from Idaho, Samantha Jensen had lived through hell. She left her two young children to the care of their grandmother. As the grandmother took a picture of 3-year-old Scarlett, she had no idea that her granddaughter would lose her life in minutes.
Samantha shared a TikTok post, where she talked about how she lost her daughter, 3-year-old Scarlett. She was out of town for she attended to a wedding, and left her children under the care of her mother, along with her son, 2-year-old Henry.
Jamie, the grandmother of the children, took her grandkids to have some ice cream and walk. As they returned, Scarlett wanted to pick some flowers as she wanted to leave her stroller.
At that moment was the last time Scarlett’s picture was taken. A driver who was suffering from a “mental breakdown,” lost control of his car and hit Scarlett with his car, who were on Jamie’s driveway.
Jamie and Henry were critically injured, while Scarlett instantly lost her life.
The driver escaped, but he was caught few miles away. The neighbors called authorities after they figure out that Jamie and her grandchildren were struck by a car.
When Samantha returned from the wedding, police officers met her and explained the situation. She was taken to the hospital where her son and mother were in critical conditions.
The grandmother and grandson recovered after months of wait.
“My mom didn’t know she was capturing the last moments of her life.” Samantha said on the video she shared.
“…Just knowing what comes next breaks my heart.”
“Life isn’t fair and I really miss my baby tonight.” Samantha captioned the post she shared on TikTok.
