Jim was shocked when he saw Ashley, his girlfriend was wearing the engagement ring he bought three months ago but haven’t popped the question yet. She shouldn’t have worn the ring, since she shouldn’t know that there was a ring.
“Where did you find the ring?”
“I found it while dusting your drawer.”
“My locked drawer?”
Then she excitedly told Jim that she already chosen the venue, their cake and her wedding dress.
Then she pulled an envelope from her purse and handed over to Jim. “Here’s your invitation.”
Jim was shocked since their wedding was happening in five days. As Jim didn’t want to be angry, he wanted to test his “bride-to-be,” and see her true face.
He then called his best friend Chris and asked for help as he explained what happened, and told Chris that he had a plan to see if Ashley was truly in or she just wanted a “big day.”
The wedding day arrived. Everything was in order, just like Ashley had planned. Guests were ready, and Jim was ready with his plan too, where his best man Chris was waiting for his signal.
Chris was waiting at the altar, while Ashley was walking down the aisle. Everything was ready for Ashley, except her groom.
She was smiling at the altar, and she didn’t even notice that Chris was standing on the place of Jim.
Then Jim tapped on her shoulder, and when she turned her head, she noticed that Chris was next to her instead of Jim.
“You didn’t even notice that I wasn’t next to you. You only think of yourself and nothing else. I can’t trust you while you are in a state like this.”
“What are you doing Jim? On the biggest day of our life, on MY LIFE! This is absurd!”
There he see the true face of Ashley. She was only thinking of herself, and that she didn’t even believe that Jim had a part in this day. It was her own day, and Jim left her in there as he wanted her to live it by herself.
