As they were both newly graduates, Ash and May decided to move in together. Ash told his girlfriend that he found a place and that the rent was not that high. After they moved in, they started to live happily together.
May wasn’t expecting Ash to find a house that quickly. As they found small jobs to maintain their lives, Ash told May that she should give her part of the rent to him, and that he will send it to the landlord.
May asked that if the money would cover both utilities and the Wi-Fi, Ash told her that she should pay the Wi-Fi from her account. May accepted, as she thought her boyfriend was in charge of many things.
For years, their agreement worked. She would give her part of the rent and pay the internet.
One day, May asked that if Ash is seeing a future of their relationship. Ash told her that of course he does.
She then told her boyfriend that she would rather pay for mortgage instead of paying rent each month. Ash hesitated to talk about this matter, and that led May to think that if Ash didn’t want to buy a house together.
As days passed, one day, May found some documents on the table. These documents were about the house they were living in, as the address was written on the papers. Then she noticed the title next to Ash: “Owner.”
She couldn’t believe what she saw. As she was fighting in her own mind with her thoughts, Ash came inside. She then decided to play along to take revenge.
After the dinner, May told Ash that she changed her mind about buying a house, since Ash already had one.
Ash went pale after he heard that. He asked what May was saying, as he acted confused. May then showed the papers. Ash directly asked why did she go through his belongings, as he tried to change the subject.
May then threatened him to sue. She demanded the money she paid to him for years, or else she told him that she will take a legal action. As Ash had no other choice, and the bank history was there, he paid back the money.
As May left home and Ash, she decided to move onto her new life, as she opened a fresh page.
