Tessa was tired from working, and she decided to relax a little bit at the cafe near her workplace. When she walked in there, she found her father-in-law Richard, with a woman who kissed him in front of her. Tessa was shocked and frozen with the scene in front of her.
As Richard noticed Tessa, he standup with a panic and rushed towards her as he pulled her outside.
“I was just leaving…” Tessa said.
But Richard was furious. He grabbed her arm tightly, and growled at her that she should keep her mouth shut whatever she saw in the cafe. He was directly threatening Tessa.
Tessa was angry when Richard acted that way. She revealed that she knew the woman Richard was having the affair with, her boss’ wife, Liza.
Richard went pale. “Look, this is none of your business. You just keep your mouth shut.”
“You think you can scare me into silence? Ruin my life because you can’t keep it in your pants?”
As he was about to do something, Richard’s phone got ranged. Charles was calling. Tessa’s boss and Richard’s best friend.
He took the call, and told Charles that he is in a meeting.
“What? No, I haven’t seen Liza. Well, I… no… I didn’t. Look, I can explain!”
As he hung up the phone with his pale face, “What did you do, Tessa?” He asked.
As it turned out, karma was working. When Richard was yelling at Tessa, Charles was talking to Liza. He heard everything Richard screamed at Tessa. He learned everything.
Charles directly ended their friendship, and business agreements which made Richard lose almost everything. In few weeks, Richard declared bankruptcy, while Tessa received a promotion for her brave stand against Richard.
