Matt was a spoiled boy of a wealthy man. His father had ensured that his family would live in comfort and luxury, but that spoiled Matt, as he became reckless, and he was lacking respect to others.
One day, while Matt and his father Richard were standing in front of Matt’s new expensive car, a homeless man approached to them.
The man then stated that he was hungry and homeless. He didn’t ask for money of food, but he asked for a job.
Matt rudely responded to the man, and the man didn’t even say anything. He just nodded, and turned his back. He walked away silently.
Matt was looking at the way man left with disgust, then Richard spoke to his son. “I’ve watched you live your life without any understanding of what’s really important.”
He didn’t like the way his son sent the homeless man away. “You think money makes you better, but it’s the one thing that can ruin you.”
When Matt was about to say something, Richard stopped him. He told Matt that he will no longer receive any money, until he learns the true value of it.
He was kicked out of Richard’s wealth.

The first few days on the street were incredibly hard for Matt. He had no place to sleep, or no money to eat food. He wondered the streets by himself, in his rugged clothes. All alone, and penniless
There he was, shivering under the bridge with humiliation. With hatred against his father.
As he was lost in thoughts, a woman called him.
“Hey, are you alright?”
She then offered help as she revealed that she was working voluntarily at a nearby shelter. She took Matt in there, where he had a place to stay at least. He would no longer freeze during the night.
Then the woman, Mia, brought him something to eat and drink. Matt couldn’t understand why Mia was helping him. He first asked her name, and the reason why she was helping her.
Then Mia revealed that it was her job. And also, she said that she knew life can turn upside down. “I’ve seen people from all walks of life come through here. You’re not alone in this.”
Her kindness turned something on in his heart. On the next day, Mia helped Matt to find a job in a cafe nearby.
While he was working in there, Mia would occasionally visit him. They would talk and talk. Matt never told her his story, and she never asked.
It took a while till Matt learned how to be a waiter. But in the end, he did learn. Few weeks later, Matt bumped into the man he kicked out of his face, the homeless man who asked for a job.
He apologized and explained his story of how he now understood the way of life. Then he talked with Mia again. He asked on a date, where Mia gladly accepted.
For weeks, Matt was saving money. He took Mia to a decent restaurant. While they were eating, Matt saw his father in there. He decided not to go and talk. But his dad was surprised to see him in there.
He went to him and talked. He noticed the big difference on his son. Then he introduced himself to Mia, which left her in shock.
Then they told the full story of what happened. In the next day, Matt returned to his old life, but with his new persona. He proposed to Mia few months later, and after their marriage, Richard made his son the head of company.
