Miranda’s breakup from her ex led her into a depression. She was an immigrant who were working hard to gain her place. She was working in a restaurant, and one day she got late.
Miranda talked with her boss, Michael and explained the situation and apologized. She let her boss know of the breakup situation, and how she was affected with it mentally.
Her boss explained that he understood the problem, but he also stated that she should separate her special life from her work life. He also stated that it was the final warning for Miranda.
As Miranda tried her best to hide her pain, she focused herself to work. She put on a fake smile and started to take orders. She then noticed her ex, Colin brought her friends to the restaurant. She had no other choice but to keep faking.
Then Colin dropped his fork, making Miranda to pick it up. Then Colin’s friends made fun of her. Everyone were looking at Miranda while the others mocking her.
As Miranda went back to kitchen, she started to cry as she couldn’t held her tears back. Then Chef Roberts gave a napkin to Miranda as he tried to comfort her. As Miranda needed someone to talk with, Roberts was there for her now.
She told the story of how Colin cheated on her and now how he was mocking her deliberately with his friends. Then she asked Roberts to make their food extra spicy. The Chef was unsure about the image of the restaurant, but then accepted.
He listened Miranda as she talked her heart out and got relieved. She then went back to serving. She brought the food to Colin’s table and watched them eat.
After one spoon, Colin’s colour changed to red. Leslie was scared for Colin as she tried to help him by saying him to breath. Then Leslie’s face turned red too, with the extra spicy food.
They both rushed out of the restaurant to find peace, but it was a rough night for both of them, where they needed to go to a hospital.
