Jen lost her husband, while her son Matt was only eleven. Her husband left her alone in this wide world. It was not a choice, but it happened no matter what. As she struggled a lot while raising her son alone, now they were preparing his wedding.
Since Jen met with her future daughter-in-law, Molly, she believed that something was not right about her.
When the morning of the wedding arrived, Molly wanted to talk with Jen.
Molly asked if Jen was thinking that she was not enough for her son. Jen told her that it was not about being enough, it was about the things she would make her son do through manipulation.
As Molly started to cry, “You think you’re better than me because I didn’t grow up with money, don’t you?”
At that moment, her son Matt was walking past. When he heard that, he thought his mother was making terrible comments about Molly. He was furious. He told her that she shouldn’t be at the wedding, since it wouldn’t be classy enough for her.
As Jen was upset, she told them that she will bring the champagne from the basement. As she went in there, the door got locked after her. Molly was there.
She didn’t know what to do. She tried to hit the door for a while, but then tried to escape from the narrow basement window. As she managed to leave the basement, she went inside, took her keys and jumped into her car.
As she was at the venue, she overheard Molly talking to her friends about how she locked Jen in the basement. She was laughing about how she tricked Matt with his tears.
After they left, Jen slipped into the main hall, and sat near the back while Priest started the ceremony.
When the priest asked that if anyone objected to the marriage between the groom and the bride, Jen standup.
She revealed that Molly locked her in the basement, and that she had proof of it. She pulled her phone up.
Matt asked to Molly that if that was true. She tried to trick Matt with her tears once again.
Jen showed the security cam footage from her phone, and Molly was still trying to trick Matt. “I… I did it for us, Jeremy. She was going to ruin everything!”
After Matt saw the footage, he called the wedding off, since he couldn’t be together with someone that manipulative.
