Jen and Sam just returned from their honeymoon, which was like a dream to them. After long planning for their wedding, and a little troubled ceremony, the honeymoon went smooth and without any problems.
When they returned to their happy home, a surprise was waiting for them in the living room.
“What is that?” Jen asked to her husband when they found the massive black box in the house.
There was a note on it, “Jen, open this alone.”
Sam wanted to be present when the box was opened in case it would be dangerous for his wife. He was suspicious of the box.
Weirdly, in the giant box, there was a huge teddy bear. It was a true giant. They were shocked to see it.
There was a note on it, “PRESS ME,” where there was a giant red heart on its chest area.
When they pressed on it, they heard a little girl yelling, “Daddy? Daddy, are you there?”
Sam was frozen, his face went pale when he heard the voice.
“Daddy, when are you coming to see me? I miss you.”
He wasn’t even moving. Sam petrified.
“Daddy, will you come today? Will you come visit me? I’m still in the hospital…”
Then a man’s voice came from the giant bear, “I’m busy, sweetheart. I’ll visit soon.”
That was Sam’s voice.
The world slipped under Jen’s feet. Sam left the home without saying anything.
On the hand of the teddy bear, there was a letter for Jen. When she read it, she found out that Sam had a marriage before Jen, and he also had a daughter, Lily. His ex-wife, Mathilda wrote to Jen to keep her safe from him.
Sam was a terrible man. His daughter was diagnosed with a treatable cancer, but he chose to gamble and lost all their money. After they couldn’t afford treatment, Lily passed away.
After that day, Jen never saw Sam. Not even while they were divorcing.
