A carer from a nursing home in Austinburg, Ohio, fulfilled the last with of Maria, who was on her deathbed. Maria was the teacher of Joshua Woodard, the carer. When Joshua learned that Maria was in the caring house he was working in, he decided to stay in charge of her.
Joshua was only 9 when Maria taught him, so she had a great place in his life. When he learned that Maria was close to her final days, he was upset, but also grateful for knowing such a great person.
In her dying bed, Maria’s final wish was to hear “How great thou art” once again.
Joshua was there to fulfil Maria’s final death wish.
“Hospice workers are angels but this hospice aide is special,” Marti Adkins Redmond, manager of the hospice shared.
