Sinbad the African Gray parrot lived with his owner for 25 years. They experienced many things together, and lived a lifetime. As anyone would feel when someone who spend a quarter century together, Sinbad felt the same, when his owner was on her dying bed.
Sinbad loved to talk and sing. But in this situation, he stood silent, and tried to understand what was happening.
As these birds are incredibly intelligent, they can fell into depression too. So they are aware of the situation surrounding them, such as they can understand the concept of death. They have the cognitive intelligence of a six-year-old human child.
Sinbad wanted to be with his owner when she was on her dying bed. He first walked up to old woman’s arm, then up to her chest, where he looked at his owner’s eyes.
The old woman told Sinbad that she loves him, and the response of the parrot will bring tears into your eyes.
