Deborah “Debbie” Kennedy, the New York native who was living in Fort Pierce, became a victim of Hurricane Milton. Sadly, her daughter, Brandi Smith, received a call about her mother’s passing.
An official from Florida called Brandi and told her that her mother sadly lost her life during Hurricane Milton. Debbie moved to Florida in March. She was at the age of 66 when she passed away.
On the 10th of October, Brandi Smith shared a post from her Facebook account where she confirmed her mother’s passing, and talked about the situation.
“Now that family has been informed with the greatest sorrow possible I need to let it be known that my mother Debbie Kennedy has been positively identified by a detective down in Florida who I’ve spoken with. My mom will be missed incredibly forever this will leave a deep deep hole in the hearts of us kids and her grandchildren.”
“She was always there anytime she was needed and she was always there for us and her grandchildren. She was there for each grandchild when they were born she’s been an amazing mother and grandmother my entire life. And I will be lost without her for the rest of my life.”
“Mom I wish I told you more often how much I loved you and how much I appreciate it everything about you. I wish I was there for you I wish I had never left you down there I wish you would come home with me.”
“I would take your place at a heartbeat if I could I will always miss you and love you the only thing I can think of to say is that at least you’re with Dad now and we’re going to do everything we can to get you back home to have you buried next to him where you want to be. I love you and I’m so sorry I’ve tried so long to find you I’m so sorry I love you and thank you for being my mom. I promise I will do you proud and I will be just as good of a mom to Madylyn Smith as you were to me.” Brandi concluded.
May she rest in peace.
